SWTOR-MaFiA.com has gone GOLD and opens it's doors!
Many of you may have been around since *MaFiA* started out on a geocities page back in 2000. Since the humble beginnings our community has grown. We have moved from the Delta Force series to the Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon series. From the Call of Duty titles to the Battlefield series. Our members and fans have enjoyed watching our adventures. Later we moved into the MMORPG crowd with Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan and World of Warcraft. Now we have set our sights on Star Wars The Old Republic.
Over the nearly past 9 years our site has reflected our gaming interests. This still continues today. We have been through site redesigns before and had some trouble early on. We lost a lot of content that is still dearly missed but not forgotten. Today is a new day for our small yet close knit squad. We start off on the right foot and take a stride into the unknown.
Many new features have been added to the site. Along with retaining some classic features. Blog is an area where you can talk about anything you want with just your friends. You can add images from your life or gaming experience to your fully customizable user control panel. Think of it like facebook or myspace without the annoying kids and ads.
Experience is a fun add-on that shows user activity and awards. There are also some ways to subtract your points. You can also give points away to others. Posting a video has never been this easy. Find something on youtube you want to share? Just post the link and the site will do the rest.
Still play WoW? Use the CHAR BB Code to display your characters in your signature. Or use the user control panel to edit your details and add your characters to be displayed under your name in the forums. There is also a Wow Roster to show off your guild (upon request). WoW event scheduler is still in the works.
Many of us visit the site from work. The annoying thing about that is most businesses now block the image hosting sites. (photohost, imageshack, photobucket, flickr...) We offer your own personal Photo Album. You can host many of your images here for display on forums and to show friends. Don't worry if your images are large. The site will automatically resize them for display while not editing the original image. The original image will be linked.
*MaFiA* websites have always been a multi-gaming and group community. This is no different with our latest site. SWTOR-MaFiA.com is centered around the latest Lucas Arts and Bioware MMO but is open for guilds from any of the games we play. Got a guild but no website? Come here and input your Social Group. We can host forums and site pages for your guild under the *MaFiA* Network.
Our staff have been in the gaming community a very long time. Playing from First Person Shooters, Tactical Shooters, Role Playing Games, and Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Games, we have a lot of experience. If you have a technical problem with your system's hardware or software, head to the Technical Assistance forum for assistance. The staff have dealt with many common and uncommon problems from ventrilo crackles, ingame recording and converting for playback, operating systems, network set-up, hosting games, and website design. The list goes on and on.
