News articles are a good way to pull in new members and get the site noticed. Here are a few things to help you, the writer, get noticed!
All approved articles will be published to Facebook.
- Start off with an eye catching photo or screenshot. The News Slider will pull the first image in the post for display.
- Use as much original content as possible. MrDeids.com writers will usually start off with 40 words to grab the reader's attention. It needs to be interesting and give them a reason to continue reading.
- Quote other articles and your source. Link sources at end of article. You can pull from other sites so long as you provide the proper source links.
- You are more than welcome to provide your experiences and opinions on the story. Readers enjoy personal touches.
- If you mention a sponsor or vendor, please provide a link to their site. They scratch our back, we can return the favor!
- Anyone can submit an article. Upon review and if following these guidelines, your article will be featured on the site!
